Connecting with Carmel – June 2007

Welcome to Bub’s Café! It’s Bub’s new place just a block south of the original on the Monon Trail. Jeff and Stephanie had a great time taking over the new restaurant for the June show. They shared the city’s latest news and interviewed Mayor Brainard, Sue Maki from Parks and Rick Sharp, Councilman of District #1. Barb Lamb, the City’s HR Director stopped by with Kim Kauffman to inform the community of the upcoming special census and representatives from “Rock the District” and “Carmelfest” shared all their event details. Nancy Heck also showed us another great feature on the City’s website. You won’t want to miss it!

 

 
     

Connecting with Carmel – May 2007

This month, Connecting with Carmel was at Joe’s Butcher Shop & Fish Market in the Arts & Design District. Jeff and Stephanie discussed the latest City news and interviewed Mayor Brainard, Sue Maki from Parks, Paul Felix, City Court Judge and Ron Carter, Councilman At-Large. Gary Dufek stopped by to talk about the Fire Department’s annual Hoosier Burn Camp Ride. Nancy Heck also showed us another useful feature on the City’s website. It was a full show. Connecting with Carmel – April 2007

The Monon Center at Central Park was host to an action-packed April show. Jeff and Stephanie discussed the latest City news and had interviews with Mayor Brainard, Sue Maki and Mark Westermeier, both from the Parks Department, and Councilman Rick Sharp from District 1. Several special guests stopped by to discuss upcoming events, including representatives from the Policeman's Ball, Prevail Golf Outing, and International Talent Academy Fundraiser.

 

 
     
Connecting with Carmel – March 2007

Angie’s Café hosted the Connecting with Carmel crew for the March episode. Stephanie and Jeff discussed all of the exciting news occurring in Carmel and interviewed Mayor Brainard, Sue Maki from the Parks Department, John Duffy from Carmel Water Utilities, and City Councilman Ron Carter. This month also included a special segment at the Carmel Clay Public Library. Jeff interviewed local author, Jeff Stone, at his book signing. You can even watch Jeff Worrell practice his martial arts moves as he is instructed by Jeff Stone.

February show was filmed at Michael's Family Restaurant where Jeff learned how to make an authentic gyro and that's not all! Jeff and Stephanie discussed Carmel's latest and greatest news and interviewed Mayor Brainard, Brian Mayo, Councilor of District #3 and Keith Smith, the new Fire Chief. Nancy Heck showed us another great feature on the city's website and community representatives from the library and Carmel Swim Club stopped by to fill us in on their upcoming events. Connecting with Carmel – January 2007

Grosser and Company Jewelers was the location for the January Connecting with Carmel. Jeff and Stephanie especially liked this month’s location because of all the jewelry they got to try on and even help create! The show included a discussion with Mayor Jim Brainard and Jon Goble, president and CEO of Clarian North Medical Center about the Carmel Mayor's Wellness Challenge kicking off this year.  We also visited with the Rick Sharp, Councilor of District #1 and Nancy Heck, Director of Community Relations. Also Nancy Heck showed us yet another useful feature on the city’s website.  Come join in the fun!
